7/26/08: JP Hops House, Houston Texas. Benefit for Dave Tinder. From 5pm till about midnight. There will be a bunch of great musicians out there. Jim goes on around 5:40 pm.

Previous Performances (2008):

2/20-2/24/08 : International Folk Alliance Conference, Memphis, TN. Again, this will be held at the Mariott Hotel and Cook Convention Center, downtown Memphis. As usual there will be the luminaries of the folk music world in attendance. It's always a fun event - just don't go there expecting to get any sleep. I'll be traveling with my buddy Tom Tranchilla, and others from the HAAM organization. I will be performing solo in the following showcases :

03/20/08 : Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church, Houston TX, Service in celebration of the Vernal Equinox. 7:00pm

04/12/08 :  Crawjam 2008, Anderson, Texas. This marks the 17th year that it has been held! I'll be playing a set in the late afternoon as usual.

4/26/08 : Fiddler's Frolic Texas Songwriter's Serenade, Hallettsville, TX. Jim has made the semi finals of the songwriter's competition.

5/16/08: "Get Me to France" Benefit concert for Acting Abroad Scholarship winner Paige Seber. 7:30-10:30pm, Oxford Hall in the Heights, 1135 Oxford Street, Houston, TX. Donation $10.

7/05/08: ACE Theatre, 17011 Bamwood, Houston, TX 77090. In the round with Tom Tranchilla, Brian Kalinec and Buddy Allen. Show starts at 8pm, Tickets $15, $12 for seniors and students.

7/11/08: JP Hops House, Houston Texas. Texas Songwriter Showcase with Willie B and Van Buchanan.


Previous Performances (2007):

1/18/07 : Art Gallery opening for my favorite artist, Andrew Scott Dejesse. One man show featuring his fabulous landscapes.  Bering and James Gallery, 805 Rhodes Place #500, Houston. From 6-9pm. I will not be playing music this time around (gasp!), but will be there. You should too if you appreciate fine art.

1/27/07 : Vintage Bar, 4356 Westheimer (on Mid Lane), Houston, TX shared bill with Tom Tranchilla and Selia Qynn. from 8:30-11:30pm

2/21-2/25/07 : International Folk Alliance Conference, Memphis, TN. This will be held at the Marriott Hotel and Cook Convention Center in downtown Memphis. This is, of course the annual gathering of the tribes. There is just no telling who you will bump in out there. Buffy Ste Marie does the keynote this year. 7/23/07 : HAAM Radio Show, KPFT 90.1 FM. I will be performing live in the studio from 4:00-4:30pm. The show is also being streamed live over the Internet.

8/04/07 : Firefly Club, Ann Arbor, MI. Stick Night performance with Greg Howard, Glenn Poorman, Darrell Havard, Steve Osborn and myself.

8/10/07 : Avalon Folk Festival, Paw Paw, West Virginia. Jim has been chosen to be a finalist in the Rising Star Performer Competition.

8/17/07 : "Driven To Abstraction" 30 works of art by Howie Doyle at the "Full Throttle Gallery", 2040 Louetta Rd, Spring, TX, One half mile est of I-45 and the intersection of Old Holzwarth Rd. Jim will be performing background music from 7-10pm.

9/08/07 : Millbend Coffee House. 1370 N. Millbend, The Woodlands, TX. Opening for Diana Jones. 

9/22/07 : Habitat House Concerts, 10037 Hazelhurst, Houston, TX 77080. In the round with Tom Tranchilla and Mark Campbell. 7:30-10pm.

9/29/07 : Emerson Universalist Unitarian Church annual pledge drive dinner. 6-9pm

9/30/07 : Benefit for Mark Zeus. Cosmos Cafe, 69 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX. Like many musicians, Mark has no health insurance and has to undergo  surgery. Please come out to this event, support Mark and see some of your favorite local musicians, yours truly included. Music begins at 4pm and goes through midnight. I will be going on around 5pm. Acts include Ken Gaines, Brian Kalinec, Danny Everitt, Shake Russell and many more!

10/4-10/7/07: 8th Annual Southwest Regional Folk Alliance Conference, Austin, TX. Jim will be playing in the following showcases during the conference.
